Seetharkundu Resorts is 34 km from Palakkad Railway Station - approximately 50–55 minutes by road via NH 966 (Palakkad–Chittur road) south to Kollengode. Taxis are readily available from Palakkad station. We also offer a complimentary pickup from Kollengode town for all guests.

Seetharkundu Resorts is 90 km from Coimbatore International Airport - approximately 2 hours by road via NH 544 (Coimbatore–Palakkad Highway) and then south to Kollengode. Taxis are available at the airport. We recommend pre-booking a cab for the most comfortable journey.

From Thrissur, the resort is approximately 70 km via Palakkad - about 1.5 hours by road. From Kochi, it is approximately 120 km - about 2.5 to 3 hours. Take NH 544 toward Palakkad and then continue south on NH 966 toward Kollengode.

Yes. We offer a complimentary pickup from Kollengode town for all guests. Pickup from Palakkad Railway Station or Coimbatore Airport can also be arranged at an additional charge. Please mention your travel details when booking so we can schedule the pickup.

Yes. Free secure parking is available at Seetharkundu Resorts for all guests. The parking area is on-site and monitored. Day visitors who wish to visit Seetharkundu Waterfalls may also park at the resort with our permission.

The nearest bus stand is Kollengode Town Bus Stand, approximately 5 km from the resort. Regular KSRTC and private buses connect Kollengode to Palakkad, Thrissur, Coimbatore, and other major cities. From Kollengode bus stand, an auto-rickshaw or taxi will take you to the resort. We provide complimentary pickup from Kollengode town for advance-booked guests - just let us know your arrival time.

Room rates start from ₹ 3,999 per night for standard eco-luxury rooms. Rate tiers include:

Weekday discounts of up to 25% and summer season discounts of up to 35% are available. All rates are subject to applicable GST. Contact us for current rates and package pricing.

Yes. Reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of the required advance payment. Full or partial advance payment may be required depending on the booking type and season. A booking confirmation is sent via WhatsApp, email, or SMS once payment is received. Reservations made during peak season (October to January) and on public holidays require advance payment to hold the room.

• 14 days or more before check-in: Eligible for partial or full refund at management discretion
• 7 to 13 days before check-in: Partial refund may be considered
• Within 7 days of check-in: No refund ordinarily granted
• Resort-initiated cancellations (natural disasters, government orders): Full refund or rebooking offered

Peak season and public holiday bookings may carry stricter cancellation terms. Refunds, where applicable, are processed within 7–14 working days to the original payment source.

Yes, date modifications can be accommodated subject to room availability. Please contact us as early as possible via WhatsApp or phone if you need to change your travel dates. Modifications within 7 days of check-in are subject to availability and management discretion. We will always try our best to accommodate your request.

October to March is peak season - cool weather, clear Nelliyampathy viewpoints, and the waterfalls in good flow. Book at least 2–3 weeks in advance during this period. June to September (monsoon) brings dramatic misty landscapes and powerful waterfalls - a beautiful but underrated time to visit. April to May (summer) offers the deepest discounts and quietest atmosphere. We recommend booking at least 7 days in advance at any time of year.

We offer four room types, all eco-luxury with hill or garden views:

Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort - in rooms, common areas, and the outdoor terrace. Connectivity is reliable for standard work and communication needs. In a remote hill location, speeds may vary during peak demand hours. We recommend this resort for guests who want to disconnect partially - the natural surroundings do the rest.

Yes. Extra beds and baby cots can be arranged on request, subject to availability and room size. Extra bed charges apply. Please mention your requirement at the time of booking so we can arrange it before your arrival. Children below 12 years may stay complimentary without an extra bed when sharing with parents.

We do not have a swimming pool at Seetharkundu Resorts - by design. As a nature-first eco-resort, we believe the Seetharkundu Waterfalls and natural streams that surround us are far more rewarding than a chlorinated pool. Guests are guided safely to the waterfall pool area under supervision. The emphasis here is on the natural environment, not artificial amenities.

Mobile network coverage at the resort is available for most major Indian operators (Jio, Airtel, BSNL). Signal strength is generally good at the resort premises. Deep in the forest trails and near the waterfall, signal may be reduced - which most of our guests consider a feature, not a limitation. Our resort Wi-Fi covers communication needs throughout your stay.

All guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID at check-in as required under police verification regulations applicable to hospitality establishments. Accepted documents include:

Foreign nationals must present a valid Passport and Visa. This is a legal requirement and not optional.

Seetharkundu Resorts is open 7 days a week from 7:00 AM to 11:30 PM. Reception is staffed during these hours for all guest requirements. For early-morning activity arrangements (such as pre-dawn Meenampara viewpoint trips), our team can be reached via WhatsApp at any time.

Yes. Seetharkundu Resorts is a safe and welcoming environment for solo travellers, including solo women travellers. The resort is a family-run eco property with a close-knit, trained staff team. All outdoor activities are guided. The Kollengode community is peaceful and welcoming. Solo travellers are advised to inform the resort of their planned trail walks for safety coordination.

Yes. Seetharkundu Resorts welcomes all guests regardless of marital status. Valid government-issued ID is required from all adult guests at check-in as per standard hospitality regulations. We do not discriminate on the basis of relationship status.

Quiet hours at Seetharkundu Resorts are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Loud music, excessive noise, and disturbances during these hours are not permitted, both out of respect for fellow guests and for the wildlife in the surrounding forest. The resort’s peaceful atmosphere is one of its most valued qualities - we ask all guests to help preserve it.

Yes. Complimentary Kerala breakfast is included with all room bookings. Breakfast is a wholesome, freshly prepared traditional Kerala spread served each morning. It can be served in the resort dining area or arranged on your private balcony on request - just mention it the evening before.

Yes. Seetharkundu Resorts has an in-house restaurant serving traditional Kerala cuisine throughout the day. The menu focuses on fresh, locally sourced ingredients - seasonal vegetables, river fish, traditional spice preparations, and home-style curries. Lunch and dinner are available for all guests; please inform us in advance for meal planning.

Yes. Candlelight dinners are a popular experience at Seetharkundu Resorts, set on the hillside terrace or garden with the Nelliyampathy hills as a backdrop. Please request at least 6 hours in advance - either via WhatsApp when booking or at the time of check-in. Candlelight dinners are particularly recommended for couples and are included in our honeymoon packages.

Yes. Vegetarian, Jain, and other dietary requirements can be accommodated. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions or preferences at the time of booking so our kitchen team can prepare accordingly. We use locally sourced fresh ingredients and can adapt most dishes to meet specific needs.

Alcohol consumption is permitted only within designated areas of the resort and in a responsible manner. As an eco-resort surrounded by forest and sensitive wildlife habitat, open alcohol consumption in outdoor forest areas is discouraged and subject to local regulatory restrictions. Public intoxication that disturbs fellow guests or staff will not be tolerated. We do not have a bar on-site.

Yes. The guided waterfall walk from the resort follows a well-maintained trail suitable for most fitness levels, including seniors and children. Our guides accompany all visits, enforce safe viewing distances, and assist guests throughout. We advise against entering the water, particularly during or after rainfall when currents can be strong and unpredictable.

Most activities can be arranged on the day. However, the following benefit from advance booking: Nelliyampathy day treks, Meenampara sunrise trips, couples herbal spa, campfire evenings, and candlelight dinners. We recommend mentioning your preferred activities when booking your room so our team can pre-schedule everything for your arrival.

Meenampara Viewpoint is approximately 20 km from Seetharkundu Resorts, reached via the scenic 37-hairpin-bend Angamoozhy ghat road. The drive takes 45–50 minutes. We arrange guided day trips that include Meenampara, the Nelliyampathy tea and coffee estates, and the Angamoozhy Reservoir. Sunrise trips depart at 5:00 AM from the resort.

Thamarapadam is a spectacular seasonal lotus lake in Kollengode - one of Kerala’s most beautiful natural phenomena. Every monsoon season, a vast wetland near Kollengode blooms with thousands of pink and crimson lotus flowers. It is approximately 5 km from Seetharkundu Resorts and is best visited between August and November during the bloom season. We arrange guided visits and can confirm bloom status before your trip.

Drone and aerial photography at or above the resort premises requires prior written permission from management. Any permitted operation must comply with India’s UAS Rules 2021 (DGCA) including valid UIN registration and operator certification. Drone flights over the waterfall area, forest zones, and Thamarapadam are prohibited at all times to protect wildlife. Contact us in advance if you plan to bring a drone.

Yes. Seetharkundu Resorts is a family-friendly property. Children below 12 years may stay complimentary without an extra bed when accompanied by parents. We offer family-specific activities including guided nature walks, plantation tours, waterfall visits, and cycling. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times, particularly near water bodies and forest trails.

Pets are not permitted on the resort premises without prior written approval from management. As an eco-resort adjacent to a wildlife-sensitive forest corridor, uncontrolled pets can disturb wildlife and other guests. Please contact us in advance if you wish to travel with a pet and we will advise on feasibility.

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside rooms and all indoor common areas. Smoking is also not permitted in the forest, trail, and waterfall areas due to fire risk. Designated outdoor areas are available for guests who smoke. Please ask staff to indicate the designated smoking zones on arrival.

Yes. We can host private celebrations including birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings, and small corporate events. Arrangements include outdoor setups, customised menus, decoration, and activity planning. Please contact us at least 7 days in advance for event bookings to allow adequate preparation. Guests are responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings. We recommend not carrying valuables on trail walks. Any items left behind at the resort will be held at reception for 30 days and can be returned by courier (at the guest's expense). The resort cannot be held liable for loss or theft of personal belongings. Please report any losses to reception immediately.

We take all guest feedback seriously. You can raise a concern directly with resort staff at any time during your stay. For formal complaints, please email info@seetharkunduresorts.com or use our Grievance Redressal process. We acknowledge all complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve standard issues within 7 working days.

Seetharkundu Resorts is operated by Seetharkundu Herbal Plantations & Health Resorts Pvt. Ltd. - a company whose identity is rooted in sustainable land management. Our eco-credentials include:

• Working herbal plantation on-site using traditional sustainable agriculture
• Locally sourced produce for our restaurant from nearby farms

• Do not pick flowers, plants, or any natural materials

• Keep noise levels low near the forest edge and waterfall

Yes. The Nelliyampathy corridor is a biodiversity-rich zone of the Western Ghats. Common wildlife sightings around the resort and on guided walks include:

• Birds: Malabar Grey Hornbill, Malabar Whistling Thrush, Crimson-backed Sunbird, Blue-winged Parakeet, Jungle Owlet, kingfishers, and 200+ species
• Mammals: Barking deer, Malabar giant squirrel, mongooses, and occasional leopard tracks on forest trails
• Reptiles and amphibians: Various endemic Western Ghats species

All wildlife should be observed silently from a safe distance. Never approach or attempt to feed animals.

We recommend all forest trail and waterfall walks be done with a resort guide. Our guides know the trails, can identify wildlife safely, and ensure you stay within designated paths. Solo or unguided entry into the forest beyond marked boundaries is discouraged for safety reasons. Guests wishing to walk independently on clearly marked nature paths within the resort grounds may do so - but please inform reception before and after.

The Seetharkundu Herbal Plantation is a living, working cultivation of indigenous medicinal plants that gives our parent company its name. It is on-site at the resort and open to all guests via guided tour. Our guided plantation walk (1 to 1.5 hours) introduces you to dozens of Ayurvedic herbs - Brahmi, Ashwagandha, Tulsi, Neem, Vetiver, and many endemic Western Ghats species - and explains their traditional uses. The tour is particularly popular with families and wellness-minded guests. Best done early morning when the plants are most fragrant.
